- How to Make Your Support Group Work: Gaining Skills and Tools For Effective Support Group Facilitation
This workshop is designed for educators and/or counselors seeking to create a support group for children and to develop a curriculum for a children's group. The basics guidelines are reviewed along with practical techniques to help facilitators work with children dealing with particular issues (e.g., death, divorce, ADHD, self-esteem, etc.).
- FACILITATING CHILDREN'S PLAY
This workshop is designed for those who want to work with or who are already working with children. It provides the theory and practice of play therapy and how best to facilitate working with children using expressive play techniques such as art, puppets, clay, sand tray, fantasy play and bibliotherapy.
- Healing the Whole Child: Theory and Techniques for Teachers and Other Professionals Working with The Bereaved Child
This workshop reviews the significance of the attachment process and what happens when a child experiences a traumatic attachment disruptions. We will review techniques and methods of working with children at their appropriate developmental level using play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, Theraplay, metaphors, expressive arts, sand tray and other age appropriate approaches.
